Get Involved and Give Back

I’ve always felt drawn to helping those who are disadvantages for various reasons. I suspect this desire came from watching my own loved ones go through extremely difficult experiences such as homelessness, addition, substance abuse, severe mental health struggles, prostitution, the loss of loved ones, and many bad decisions made in difficult circumstances. When I went to college, I naturally found myself in the Strategic Organizational Communication and Advocacy program where I got to be on the ground, helping disadvantaged communities get the resources they need.

When I started writing novels more seriously and it came time to write my “big bad,” the most evil thing I could think of was something I had seen in the real world through the work I had done in college and beyond. I’m extremely passionate about ending human trafficking and that starts with education.
